Answer63 Play63

On a personal note, I tried to find rock and roll songs that were popular between about 1958 and 1980. When I ran across “Bus Stop” by the Hollies it brought back a poignant memory. That is a song from 1966. That year I was in Viet Nam serving in the Army.

Besides Armed Forces Radio there was little music to listen to. I sent letters to stations like KIOA, KOMA, WLS and KAAY asking if they would send us tapes for the troops to listen to. Only KIOA responded with one reel of tape from December 1966.

It included music, commercials, news and weather for Des Moines. A number of copies of the tape were distributed and got plenty of play in our company area.

“Bus Stop” by the Hollies was one of the songs on there. Also “Snoopy and the Red Baron”. Sure brings back memories. Enjoy this trivia quiz which was a labor of love on my part.
